JELANI ALLADIN

 

A Brownsville, Brooklyn native, Jelani is currently making his Broadway Debut in Frozen the Musical as Kristoff which earned him a Drama Desk nomination for Best Leading Actor and a Drama League nomination for Distinguished Performance. A graduate of Tisch School of the Arts' New Studio on Broadway, his work has been seen Off- Broadway and regionally. Jelani has starred as Pharus in Oscar winner, Tarell McCraney's Choir Boy at both Studio Theatre of DC and Marin Theatre Company. Though both productions received rave reviews, at MTC, Jelani received the San Francisco Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Leading Actor In A Play. Other regional credits include, The History Boys (Palmbeach Dramaworks), Violet (Clarence Brown Theatre), and I and You (TheatreSquared). Jelani has also been seen Off- Broadway at the York Theatre in a revival of Don't Bother Me I Cant Cope and at the Signature Theatre starring as Cat Jones in Sweetee the Musical. His past film credits include I Didn’t Come Here to Make Love, and High Noon on the West Side.
